History
Vega Solutions was founded in 1994 and specialises in developing secure, affordable solutions for the financial sector to support growth, monitor processes, increase productivity and improve compliance.
It was founded by Neil Barrett and David Collings who shared many years of experience in the design, development, project management and implementation of solutions for the financial services industry. It was conceived to use Internet technology to deliver innovative solutions at a reasonable cost. David saw the potential of using the newly emerging internet to share data with others globally at an affordable cost without the need for expensive WAN networks.
He developed the Sirius tool which is a very powerful method of securely controlling access to data and highly scalable so it can be implemented by small companies wanting to control access to limited amounts data through to Private Banks wanting to provide Online Banking to their client base.
They were joined by Mandy Collings in 2005 after she left MCI. Mandy had many years working in the financial sector then within the IT department at MCI running multi-national projects.
Caroline Hyde joined the team in 2009 a fully trained accountant who brought a wealth of experience to the team. Having worked in the UK and Canada for KPMG in both audit and consultancy roles, Caroline has much experience across a range of industries and regulatory environments.
