Mandy Collings
Account Director
Mandy started her career at County NatWest supporting the Trading floor and spent the next 13 years working in the City for various financial intuitions. She was head hunted to join what was then MFS and later became MCI WorldCom, initially in the Business side then moving to IT to concentrate on Business Analysis and Project Management.
About the time MCI moved out of London to Reading. Mandy married David and following having a short break to have children moved to work at Vega Solutions.
Mandy now handles most of the Account Management and Business Development for Vega along with project managing some of the projects.
Outside the office (literally) lives Mandy’s other great love – her horses. When not busy with Vega or children Mandy escapes into her world of horses.
David Collings
Managing Director
David has been producing software commercially since his early teens, initially to fund his passion for flying. After studying Physics and Electronics at University he moved in to the financial sector and jointly founded a software house specialising in software for the Life Assurance industry.
Since then he has moved through roles in both IT and Marketing within the finance sector. David joined forces with Neil Barrett in 1998 to develop Vega after identifying the opportunities the internet offered for IT solutions in the finance sector. Since then David has been the chief architect in a number of major systems the company has developed. The wealth of financial experience that David has means that he can communicate with clients effectively as he talks their language. He runs constructive workshops to define the clients’ requirements and is able to give valuable input to defining solutions.
Outside work David rarely has time to sit down. In addition to helping look after the dogs, cats, horses, ponies and chickens, he can often be found standing by a motocross track somewhere across the south east supporting his son in his quest to be the next Motocross World Champion. David also has a PPL, skis, dives and horse rides.
Caroline Hyde
Business Advisor
Caroline is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 20 years’ experience working with clients from a broad range of industries in the UK and Canada. She held a number of positions at Unipart and KPMG where she was a senior manager before joining Vega Solutions. As an experienced auditor and consultant, Caroline has been able to significantly help companies to redefine their business processes and develop action plans to implement and manage change.
At Vega, Caroline gets involved in all aspects of development projects, from business analysis and system specification through to system testing. She is responsible for project managing the company’s development schedule and maintaining Vega’s accounts.
When not working, Caroline loves to spend time outdoors with her family; walking, cycling, canoeing or body-boarding depending on the location and weather!
